Valentine’s Day is only a few days away, but whether you have a hot date with your boo, you’re kicking it with your girls, or you’re meeting up with someone for the first time, I’ve got a few Valentine’s Day outfit ideas for you! Most of these looks are available from Rent the Runway, which is my go to destination for special occasion outfits (get $30 off your first RTR order here)!
Kicking it With the Girls
If you’re going to be kicking it with the girls and just want a casual outfit, pair a floral print blouse with black skinny jeans and a biker jacket. You’ll be in the spirit without looking too cheesy in an all pink or red outfit! I paired these with booties in this picture but for the girls, flat boots makes more sense!

Red Dress Emoji
If you’re looking for a red Valentine’s day dress to snap for the ‘gram, this asymmetrical hem dress is the epitome of the dancing red dress emoji 💃🏾. If you’re feeling like showing off a lot of leg, wear it with strappy heels, but it also looks great with over the knee boots.

First Date Drinks
If you have Valentine’s Day plans with someone new, swap out your usual black slacks with a fun pair of pink palazzo pants. The ruffles on these ones are attention grabbing and super cute! Wear it with ballet flats during the day, and switch into some simple black pumps after work.

Hit the Club
Be the queen of hearts with this diamond cutout jumpsuit that’s perfect for a party. It’s comfortable and will keep you warm, but is also sexy without trying too hard (which is the downfall of most club looks!). This particular jumpsuit runs a bit short, so it’s best for ladies under 5’5. Top with a red faux fur coat that you gracefully shrug off and hand to an imaginary butler.
Jumpsuits with Cutouts
If you have fancy dinner plans, surprise your date by not wearing red at all! Instead opt for a black and white look with a ruffle pencil skirt that is flattering for all figures. If you’re lacking in the hip department, the ruffles will add some shape to the bottom half of your body, and if you’re curvy, the high low cut will create a more pronounced hourglass figure.
Ruffle Pencil Skirts
The sophisticated dinner look is my favorite, but this year Jonathan and I are celebrating Valentine’s Day on the 15th by going to see Black Panther!!!! I’m so excited for the movie, but since our theater is in a mall, I’ll probably keep my look lowkey with jeans and a cute top.
